The creation of a “New Niger” by the chief security officer of Niger State, Farmer Umar Mohammed Bago, and members of the State Executive Council is a dream that requires critical and strategic sectoral commitments from all the MDAs in Niger State. RAAMP is measuring up to the actualization of the New Niger Agenda and Operation Feed the World by NIGER FOODS.
The management and staff of Niger State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Projects (NG-RAAMP), under the leadership of Dr. Amb. Nmaa Ahmed, are assiduously complementing the realization of infrastructural renewal and the food security agenda. This is evident in Katcha Local Government Area of Niger State, where the RAAMP management team mobilized the contractor to resume backlog maintenance of the Ebba-Kataeregi and Ebba-Baddegi feeder roads.
Once completed, the feeder road will not only provide a direct link to Minna-Bida Road via Kataeregi Community but will also ease the movement of goods and services, particularly agricultural produce, to Minna, Bida, and beyond. This will significantly reduce transportation costs that hinge on bad road networks.
